Why I founded scholara
I’m Pietro, a UCL student, and I founded Scholara because I remember how difficult it was to find the right tutor during the IB. There were plenty of options, but very few who truly understood the exam structure, the pressure leading up to assessments, and what it actually takes to achieve top grades.
I also found it frustrating to commit financially without knowing whether the tutoring would be worth it. Tutoring can be expensive, and students shouldn’t feel pressured into long-term packages without clarity. That’s exactly why every student starts with a free 30-minute consultation — to discuss goals, identify weak areas, and make sure the tutor is the right fit before committing.
Scholara is built around recent IB graduates who achieved a 7 in their subjects, meaning students get support that’s relevant, structured, and focused on real exam performance — not generic tutoring.

How it works

Free 30-Min Consulation
Start with a free 30-minute session to discuss your subject, goals and current challenges. It gives you a clear understanding of how we work, what support would look like, and whether we’re the right fit before committing to anything.

Matched With a Mentor Who Achieved a Grade 7
You’ll be paired with a tutor who achieved a 7 in your subject and recently completed the IB. Recent experience means tutors are up to date with the current syllabus, exam structure and what markers look for. Our mentors understand the pressure and exam technique firsthand.

Structured Exam-Focused Mentoring
We build a clear weekly plan focused on exam technique, past paper strategy and confidence. Every session is designed to produce measurable improvement.
